Luperomorpha xanthodera Weise, 1887    Recent Immigrant
Added to the british list in 2004. Originally discovered in Preston, Lancashire, this is a chinese immigrant. Most often found on roses in garden centres, whether it will spread and colonise remains to be seen. This specimen is from a garden centre in Tring, Herts. Possibly confused with Luperus flavipes (Linnaeus) but the hind fibiae are much more swollen than in Galerucini and there is an obvious groove between the antennal insertions.
